“After working with patients of all ages with various types of illness for almost four years, I have seen firsthand the benefits of a low-carbohydrate, unprocessed, whole foods diet on all areas of health. It’s remarkable that such a simple tool, something we all use every day can not only prevent, but reverse, so many of the diseases that plague us. That tool is food.”

Erynn Kay, PA-C is a board certified, licensed Physician Assistant who recently joined South Suburban Family Medicine after fatefully meeting Dr. Jeffry Gerber at the Paleo FX conference in Austin, TX in the spring of 2013. Talk about networking, conferences are a great way to meet people who share the same passions!

Erynn graduated from Northern Arizona University in 2005 with a Bachelors of Science in Microbiology. She then went on to earn a Masters of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ in 2009. Erynn has spent the past four years practicing adult and pediatric medicine in Goodyear, AZ.

Though she thoroughly enjoys working with this diverse patient population, her true passion is healing disease primarily through nutrition. After searching for several years for answers to her own health challenges, she stumbled upon the Paleo diet and has never looked back! For the past three years, she has followed a Paleo lifestyle and spends time regularly reading and researching the newest literature in functional medicine to best assist her patients.

Her specialties include general primary care, treatment of metabolic disease, gastrointestinal issues as well as Pediatrics and Women’s Health.

Erynn is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Colorado Academy of Physician Assistants. Her hobbies include reading, yoga, playing with her dog Linus, and of course trying new low-carb, Paleo recipes out of her many Paleo cookbooks!

Erynn is the perfect fit and she will complement and enhance all the services we provide. We are thrilled to have Erynn here. She looks forward to working with patients to help them achieve optimal health.
